Romantic Concerto suggestions
on: April 02, 2020, 03:56:19 AM
Hi y'all

I recently was notified that i need to play a movement of a romantic concerto for my scholarship audition. I have already played all of Mendelssohn no 1 and don't know where to go from here.

along with the concerto i prepared Chopin etude 10 1, Bach WTC book II d major prelude and fugue, and Beethoven sonata op 2 no.3

any concerto suggestions would be quite helpful

thanks

Anything but Schumann and Grieg.
Saint Saens 2 seems to be popular as a work to play early in ones career.

Hey !

Maybe you can have a look on "Concerto op 11 no 1 mvt : larghetto" composed by Chopin, it's romantic and so beautiful, I don't really know if it will suit what you are searching for but still it's an idea  :D

Good luck for your work !! ;)
