I'm going to say this nicely...

With talent like yours... you really need a piano. The whole synthesised sound is... okay, but hearing you on a piano would be a LOT better.

Thank you

I have a Bechstein A190 grand piano.

Unfortunately I also have an 'troublesome' (!) neighbour who complains to the local authorities about the noise.

Due to Corvid 19, she is home all the time, meaning that I can't play my 6'2" grand piano as much as I would like to :-(

The last 2 videos that I recorded on my Bechstein are

Daamn to that neighbor!! Here the law says you can`t make noise from 14:00 to 16:00.. so by that you can play the grand from 10 till 14:00 :D Not the same where you live?

Damn... Sorry to hear that. I had that at one stage when I was only on an upright (I was practicing Petrushka 7 hours a day though    ;D)

When I moved into my new home, had acoustic panelling to absorb the sound inside, and double glazed windows to stop the noise from leaking outside.

I played some Chopin Ballades at 11pm at night, and my neighbours were none the wiser. Definitely worth looking into as it really provides a fantastic room to practice the piano in all it's glory... without annoying some cranky bugger next door.

Buy a gun and shoot whoever stops you playing.

What a sensible solution to the problem...

You can't really shoot somebody like a gangster.

But you can make her suffer.

At the very least start a webpage with her name as the domain and record her doings.

You could implicate her in a terroristic conspiracy.

Or find a recording of general construction noise, play it at maximum gain, and inform the building that you're having renovations done, while you absent yourself daily to some isolated place you can practice.

Or, one of my favorite tools, use a marine air horn, and, by amplifying sounds from her place, blast it each time she, say, opens a cupboard or turns on a faucet.
My name is Nellie, and I take pride in helping protect the children of my community through active leadership roles in my local church and in the Boy Scouts of America.  Bad word make me sad.

Well, I should, so, to speak, amplify on the topic.  First, there's a problem.  At least to me, I need ear protection before using the air horn on my neighbors.  Otherwise you end up pretty deaf, like I am.  Which is why I still call myself a musician and probably most people say "get off the stage you wanker."

So, you have the ear protection covered (I recommend shooting earmuffs which can, more or less volume-limit the sound while allowing mid-range frequencies in:  these are called active shooters ear protection, or something similar, and they're not expensive...you could, if you're handy, likely build a pair yourself, but you'd need to know how to solder and follow a schematic and acquire parts).

Eff it. I mean, if you paid for the place and you have your own professional requirements with your own extraordinary equipment, and if the law is on your side, what's the problem?

If it's a little lover's quarrel, then just bury the beater of a bass drum into the wall aside a bit of plywood.

EDITED TO ADD and, yes, I found the Moszk. Op 72/2 to be perfectly good.  I think that's probably the way the composer meant it to sound. I've got a major problem after reading through Mozkowski's "Trist.u.Isold." and I think Moszkowsk.'s a bastard, so if you could do that it would be good.  You could teach that to me and perhaps others.  I'd pay a bit for that.

But you're an accomplished artist, and I  guess as you've seen we all have our anecdotes of annoying neighbors and all that.

Thank you!

The problem is that I live in a 1980s semi-detached house - The neighbour did add sound insulation to the downstairs of their property, but ultimately, unless we built a 'room in a room', which we do not have space to do, I doubt that sound deadening would help.

The good news is that I am normally at a music school during the week, where I have access to and am taught on a variety of excellent instruments, but these are exceptional circumstances.

It is also way easier to record digitally and the Kawai MP11SE has a fantastic keyboard.  It is, of course, a compromise.
