anything you buy cheaply will likely not satisfy you and leave you feeling like you've wasted your money.
take whatever time is necessary to work hard and save the money, you will appreciate the piano that much more, and it will provide you much more enjoyment in the long run.

Hi, there are some "budget" type grands out there that are nice piano's
for the money.
Personally I bought a new Indonesian made Kohler & Campbell 5'9" Grand
(the KCG 600) It has a warm rich tone, & is nicely made. I'm very pleased.
For a little less (think approx. $7k or less in high polish ebony)-there are also Chinese made Story & Clark, Hallet Davis, Nordiska, 5'5" grands. These were my 2nd choice.
Realize that none of these piano's are going to *be* a $20K+ piano. ..they just won't. However with good prep & maintenance, a good pianist can get the best out of them.
Everyone just cannot afford a more expensive piano. These are some nice compromises!
Good luck to you!

I suggest you save enough that you can pick and choose the piano you like.
