Recording for Saint-Saens Second Concerto in G minor Op.22
on: January 29, 2005, 02:57:45 PM
Hi~
I was wondering if the recording for Saint-Saens Second Concerto in G minor Op.22 was on the internet somewhere...or if someone can give it to me... I'm going to play this piece, and I want to know what it sounds like.
Thanks much! <3

You might want to make sure that you get a "good" recording. You can't be sure if you download it.
If you're going to play the piece, fork over the cash for a decent recording. I like the Steven Hough recording on Hyperion.

I'm listening to the Pascal Roge recording, and my teacher gave her nod of approval to that choice. It wasn't very expensive. Didn't know Hough has recorded it.

Here's a video of me playing the third movement from when I was 12 years old, way back in the day.

Hope it helps!
