I hate etudes
on: March 04, 2021, 11:49:09 PM
Not totally
Iike listening to and performing them and early stages and very late stages of prep
Just a partial practice video of an etude I'm working to move forward
I hate this learning stage, back end clean up and tempo  training it's frustrating cause  I have enough in my ear to know the sound I want  it's hard to be patient

But maybe I can encourage others frustrated since it's hard to remember be youtube and digital perfection
There is work that leads up to that
So I'll keep on

Still Im happy w some of the pop that is coming through w articulation and my pedaling choices In Spots
Need to record back half pronto

Kapustin! Sounds great; I definitely relate to the frustration of cleaning up the hardest parts of etudes but good on you for sticking with it.

Thanks ! Piano is way out of tune after some recent power outages affected the school and thus piano
I'll get a better recording on the petrof In classroom next door, it's sounds way better
But I like the action of this little Kawaii for rough stuff

These recordings are purposely  with very little practice before and I aim to keep it as one shoot that's more real in uncovering true places that need ironing out ,it's mostly memorized which really means it's not so I'll be taking a few steps back to shore up those key farts,  really ,I should be past that spot but this thing is tricky

Thanks for the encouragement and for listening  and the compliment ,I'll finish it soon ,have to
Working  number two also and I start number three in a month or so 😂

I know it's.been a minute right? What did I miss?
Thanks for the encouragement, I think inspiration is a bit generous but maybe I feel like that cause I'm so engrossed in these pieces and I lose sight relativelt speaking how freaking difficult they are , I'm Working the second at this time too +ealrier stage prep but moving along ,dang I love the dopio b section that fast solo hidden in there is jiggy as heck ,third etude is on deck ,I must be a glutton for punishment one of these is hard enough so of course I decided on three  :o
Good to hear from you too and that your didn't freeze to death ,we almost did there for a minute dang  that was not a fum time
And I'm so over the rona and other stuff shutting things down and this limiting my access to the pianoa and practice spaces , but what can you do ,
