A penny for your thoughts
on: July 29, 2021, 11:29:44 AM
Can't believe I have to confess this...at my first in person lesson we discussed tetra chords, how they form major scales. I've been reviewing WS WS HS SKIP WS WS HS...I'm visual so I was putting pennies on the flats/sharps... As I was removing the pennies one slipped between two keys and is now, presumably under the keys. It doesn't seem to be affecting anything when I play.

Is this something a tech can easily fish out at the next tuning session? I've changed to nickels...they won't slip between the keys.

I'm not sure about uprights, but on a grand all the tech will have to do is remove the action (a couple minutes work) and you should find the penny lying there, beneath where the keys were.
