Concert consisting of your requests
on: July 31, 2021, 05:01:14 PM
In the USSR there was a popular radio program: "Concert consisting of requests of radio listeners." Many listened to it with pleasure.

I want to do a similar Internet concert on my page. I invite everyone who is interested in my music to write requests at the bottom of this page (in the comments) here or on my page at "proza.ru":

https://proza.ru/2021/07/31/1292

And as far as possible, I will always try to fulfill them.

I remember that this program always ended with the words: "We are waiting for your letters with requests."

  I'm waiting too.

Vladimir Dunin

It is good to start a good deed with prayer. Therefore, I am pleased to start with the request "to perform "Ave Maria ".

I did not know which "Ave Maria" my listener had in mind (there were about fifty of them composed). Therefore, I recorded two pieces that are known to everyone: Bach - Gounod and Schubert.

I hope someone will want to play these wonderful pieces themselves. You can see that they are extremely easy to perform.

You just need to know which note is louder and which is quieter. And you can find out it from my book "The Laws of Beauty in Music Unknown to Music Schools" posted here and on "proza.ru".

Good luck to all of us!

Great idea! I struggle to navigate on a Russian language website, though.

I wrote the title of my post and post itself in both languages: in Russian and in English.
It looks like this:
Произведения
Концерт по вашим заявкам - Concert on your request - миниатюры, 31.07.2021 19:17

I will appreciate if you give me an idea: which site in English could accommodate my idea
with such a concert?

Ravel - Gaspar de La nuit

Thank you for your request.

I will not play this cycle better than my teacher Vladimir Nielsen played. So, I put here a link to his recording:

Thank you!

Thank you for your request! I love Scriabin very much but I prefer his pieces composed in more traditional musical language. I played in concerts Scriabin's 5-th Sonata, Tragic Poem, Etudes, Preludes but not these two pieces of his later period. This great music is composed more than 100 years ago but it is a bitt too modern for my personality. Sorry!

I hope to receive from you another request that will coincide with my repertoire or be not too time consuming for learning from scratch.

I watched op.59 on this site:

Alright, sorry. How about his impromptu op 14 no 2 or his op 37 set of preludes?

Thank you so much again!

Isn't it "SCRIABIN- Impromptu in Bb minor Op12 no.2" ?  I did not find Impromptu op.14.

Thanks!

If some request is recorded already and posted here then you can listen to it at any moment. As you can see I did not receive the answer on my question regarding the opus of Scriabin yet.

However, the original idea of my post was to receive requests for something that is not available yet on the Internet  but in someone's opinion it should be interesting for many listeners. Usually, all the pieces in such concerts (on the USSR Radio) were really interesting or at least attractive. I hope to receive some requests of this kind here as well.

My teacher V. Nielsen told us that pianist has to be "omnivorous": if piano can play everything - the pianist must be able to play everything as well.  At the moment, I am working on some operatic music that was never recorded in piano version. In the past, I received quite a lot of requests  to play some arias, choirs, dances etc. from operas.  And I believe that it can be fun to play and listen to for many music lovers.  So, I hope to give example and then other pianists will wish to play this kind of music as well (like it was very popular a century ago).

The same can be said about songs.  Some of the popular today songs probably will be considered a high classic in the future. And they deserve to be played on piano as well.
