Beethoven 5th 'Emperor' Concerto 1st or 3rd Movement

Hi,

I've decided to take on a concerto competition at my school and they only allow Classical or Baroque pieces. I have chosen that I like the emperor the best out of the many from Haydn, Mozart, Bach, Beethoven etc. I have listened to.

I am only allowed to perform 1 movement and I would preferably like to play the most 'virtuosic' one. Obviously, the 2nd movement isn't as flamboyant as the 1st or 3rd, so I am asking which proves to show the most technical skill/virtuosity out of the two to perform later.

The first movement works better as a stand alone, I think.

I'd say 1st movement works better as a standalone, like brogers70 says, but isn't the 3rd movement more virtuosic?
