Schubert die Forelle Accompaniment
on: November 24, 2021, 03:26:06 AM
Hi all,
i have never done much accompanying but have been asked to do so with the Db major version of die Forelle.
Looks easy enough until trying to play it!
I just can't seem to work out fingering to make it sound flowing and even as it should. Problems with both right and left hand awkward parts.
I can't find a fingered version and was hoping someone could point me to a version with suggested fingering.
Thanks in advance.

Can you post some examples of pars you are struggling with? Or is it all of them?

Thanks for offering to help.
as per attached pages.
Bar 2 - 5 left hand fingering
Bars 7 - 10 - right hand fingering of broken chords
The rest I can work out comfortable fingering.
Regards,
Ray

Bar 2 - 5 left hand fingering
3-1-4-3-2-1-2

Bars 7 - 10 - right hand fingering of broken chords
1-4-2-5-1-4-2
here the only difficulty will be the soft change between 5-1 (notes Ab-F)

Is that helpful?

Arda152's fingerings are good. You could also try 5-3-2-1-3-1-3 for bars 2-5 if your thumb is relaxed enough.

Thanks lelle and arda152

I have spent some time experimenting with suggested fingering.

For bars 2-5 I find the 5-3-2-1-3-1-3 most comfortable thanks lelle

Bars 7-10 suggested fingering works well but needs some practice and thumb fluidity on bars 9 and 10 black notes.
But I think I have it beaten now so again my thanks.
