Neglected old recordings
on: January 08, 2022, 07:45:16 AM
An unedited hodgepodge of recordings from the archives that I had rejected, or forgotten about, but in any case am rediscovering and wanting the outlet of sharing. It's like a Music and Arts release that sheds some light on more candid notes of a time in history, except that I'm viewing things not far off in history (2012-2015) with a nostalgia based on the moment as I recover from illness and ask who I was and who I am.

Grand sonatas (Music for Seniors):

Schumann 1st Sonata

Tchaikovsky Sonata in G Major:

Liszt's Hungarian Fantasy (Called to fill in for a sick soloist):

The Alkan Concerto for solo piano (Private run. Superior to the live shot several months later):

Three days later I improved the 2nd movement:

And included the Alleluia:

Too many links. Petit cant and a lullaby below.

Thanks for these links, Dave, I shall enjoy listening to them, and good to see you on the forum again. We used to mostly talk about improvisation and until I saw that video of the Hammerklavier I had no idea of your ability as a classical player. I am deeply disturbed by the recent events in your life and I hope that someone has the knowledge and means to sort out what went wrong and help you actively pursue your chosen art in whatever direction you find fulfilling.
