CASIO AiR Digital Piano vs Acoustic Grand Piano
on: January 29, 2022, 04:18:51 PM
Hi everyone,

My friend Steve is a beginner, but looking to invest in a good piano, and thinks modern electronic keyboards can do the job.

I wanted to share this discussion with you about a CASIO marketing video featuring Dirk Ebersbach and Natalia Posnova playing on the grand piano and electronic keyboard, respectively.

To my ear, they seem distinct - the electronic keys sound uniform and, well, "artificial", especially the middle octaves.

I've pointed him at this forum.

Here is the pseudonymous discussion:

Best,

Matt

PS: I'm new here, also a beginner, and hoping to dedicate a bit more time to the piano this year!

I also think CASIO brand keyboards are an excellent choice, if one is student in smaller housing but also much use for professional.

They do have impressive qualities of features including things such as sustain pedal and synthesizer sounds.
My name is Nellie, and I take pride in helping protect the children of my community through active leadership roles in my local church and in the Boy Scouts of America.  Bad word make me sad.
