Next step after Rachmaninov prelude in C-sharp minor

Hi, I've nearly completed the prelude in C-sharp minor by Rachmaninov and I'm wondering what a good piece is to learn next. Does anyone know a piece that would be the next step up for my technique?

This thing is hard to gauge from one piece. Look at some of the other easier Rach preludes, maybe some Debussy preludes, early Beethoven sonatas, Mozart sonatas, some of the more challenging Chopin nocturnes perhaps, Schubert impromptus? Some might be manageable, some might be too difficult but hopefully that gives you something to work with.

Thanks, yeah before Rach i played clair de lune. Which ones of the chopin nocturnes would you consider to be the harder ones?

I'd consider one of the first two Op 15 or Op 27. Most of the nocturnes are within reach, though I'd stay away from the last two and Op. 48/1. If you're playing only one piece at a time though I'm not sure whether some of these are too large of a gap between pieces. Check them out and see what you think
