Topic: Trill fingering  (Read 1999 times)

Trill fingering

Can someone help me understand why the fingering specified for these trills is 2 1 and 3 4 in the image below.  I find it easier to do 2 3 on both.  What am I missing?

No idea. I'd find 2 4 easier on both than 2 3, but I agree with you, I don't get the point of 2 1 for the first one.

That first 2 1 seems very odd to me, maybe it's just an error? I'd do 23 for sure. Could probably do 34 on that last one if that's a comfortable trilling fingering for you.
