If this is the case can it be cleaned? Anybody have experience with that?
Yes. And yes, but not with a Roland keyboard.
I don't know what "doesn't sound well" means, exactly.
You have to take the keyboard out, preferably with a bit of caution so as not to break things and make sure you can reassemble the housing.
Then you have to clean it. And clean the MIDI sensor strip as well. Clean everything that looks suspicious.
And you should unplug it before doing this, and while you're in there, might as well replace the CMOS battery for good measure. Write down your custom settings beforehand, if needed. And don't introduce stray current. I.e., ground yourself before messing with the PCBs and other components. Basically, if it looks electronicky, don't touch it.
