Dear Piano Teachers and their students, dear colleagues,

From March 31, 2023 to April 2, 2023 the "International Piano Competition for Young Pianists Kronberg" (Germany) for children and young people aged 6 to 19 will take place for the first time. A very special concert hall is available to young musicians in the Casals Forum, https://piano-competition-kronberg.de/en/casals-forum/, built by Kronberg Academy. The organizer is the non-profit association "International Piano Competition Taunus e.V."

I'm Ulrike Danne-Feldmann, https://ulrike-danne-feldmann.de/, the artistic director of the competition and I cordially invite you and your students to take part in the competition!

Worth it! A top-class jury (Prof. Matthias Kirschnereit, Prof. Christian A. Pohl, Prof. Claudia Schellenberger and myself) awards prizes in seven age groups worth up to €20,000. The promotion of young talents, the promotion of a highly qualified musical education and the joy of making music are very important to our association, so we award attractive special prizes that focus on the musical development of the winners (master classes, etc.). A free framework program enables the young musicians to meet and exchange ideas and experiences.

In a digital preliminary round via video selection, the jury decides on admission to the competition. The prizewinners' concert on April 2, 2023 at 5 p.m. including the award ceremony is the festive highlight of the competition. You can register from 01.10.2022 to 22.01.2023 under https://piano-competition-kronberg.de/en/anmeldung/ .

Further information at https://piano-competition-kronberg.de/en/ . Please choose the language on the top right corner.

I would be very happy if you would forward this information to your colleagues and I am happy to answer any questions!

Contact in English: Prof. Dr. Gerhard Hücker, +49 151 730 257 87 or gh@piano-competition-kronberg.de .

I am looking forward to your registration! Best regards

Ulrike Danne-Feldmann (chiarina1)

I am very pleased that nmz, one of the best-known and best trade newspapers, was interested in our competition and interviewed me. It's fun to answer questions, especially when it's about a matter of the heart like our piano competition! The nmz was interested in what distinguishes our competition, what sustainability means in terms of musical development at a competition and much more. Have fun reading!  https://piano-competition-kronberg.de/eng/interview-nmz-en/ .

Plus an entertaining short presentation about our competition, see attachment ! Enjoy! :))

Best regards
