Greetings
on: February 27, 2023, 01:44:31 AM
Hello to all new and old friends and colleagues.
I am hoping to return to Piano Street after a very long break. Unfortunately a number of domestic issues (family illness, giving family support, etc.) overtook me and I gave up playing for quite some time but I found that I needed to play in order to relax. Having started to play again I part exchanged my piano (Yamaha) for a Bosendorfer 200. I was offered a good price for the Yamaha which made the Bosy a very good bargain.
To begin with,  for some months I was filled with buyers remorse. The Bosendorfer is very precise and crisp making any poor fingerwork or phrasing immediately apparent. This has forced me take a more disciplined approach to practice. I am happy to say that now I do not have any regrets.
I expect that there will be some members of this forum that wish that they also could own such a lovely instrument, but please take into account that I am 79 years old and it has taken many years of saving to be able to afford a premium piano. I may as well enjoy my remaining few years playing a top quality instrument.
I enjoy reading members contributions to the forums and I hope to make a few contributions myself in due course.
Best wishes to all

electrodoc.
