Menzel piano turned pianola
on: March 02, 2023, 01:39:12 PM
I am researching a (roughly) 1925 Wilhelm Menzel Solophonola player piano, manufactured in Berlin and converted into a pianola with parts from Ludwig Hupfeld, also near Berlin. It was then sold in Whiteley's in London and by 1936 it had ended up in Bath, UK.

However, I am struggling to find any further information on the manufacturers, let alone the pianola itself.

If anyone has any information pertaining to Menzel pianola's from around 1925 I would be very appreciative.

Many thanks
