Hello.  ;D I am a high school pianist who is graduating in less than a month (quite exciting!) I am going to be attending a music conservatory this fall, and I will be required to learn at least one piece before classes start. (The piece must be fully memorized and performance ready.  :D) However, I'm not going to be able to take lessons over the summer so I thought I'd ask for some advice on what piece to pick!
For my audtions I performed:
Chopin Waltz in C# Minor
Mozart Sonata K.283 in G Major
Debussy Arabesque No. 1 in E Major
and finally: Bach Prelude and Fugue in B-flat Major.
For the past 6 years I was with my former teacher, she always picked pieces for me... I'm feeling a bit lost. Thank you for your time :)

Do the pieces you have listed represent your skill level?
It's hard to give a good advice if you don't know the strengths and weaknesses of someone...

I mean, the world's your oyster. If they want you to just learn anything you like before the start of the semester, why not pick something you really like and which is within your capabilities?

I would start some liszt rhapsody. The third will be a good start, but 4, 5, 7,8,10,11,13 rhapsodies are not that difficult too. Others are extreme difficult but you should check them out too;).
Maybe schubert impromptus all of them are playeable, the c minor and the f minor is a bit harder than the rest so if you have experience in schubert you should play them
Or i would pick rachmaninoff, Prelude op.32 no.10 is good for a
conservatory.
Good luck, Zoard
