Hey everyone!
I started doing these vids with the heart-rate monitor, note counter, and some interesting background facts about the composers and pieces. It also includes colorful front-view particles. Hope you enjoy ❤

Lovely choice and lovely execution! The only thing missing is a real piano ;) I hate to be a snob, but it's just not the same to hear the great tone "done for you" by a digital. But I can tell you care about the details of it enough to get a good performance out of a real acoustic also.

Great work! Did you learn this by ear, or from a written transcription? If the latter, did you use someone else's, or did you write it out yourself?

Hey chopinlover!
Thanks for your reply. The main idea behind this format is the cool statistics and the piano visuals, which require playing on the digital keyboard. Of course, it would be great to do it on an acoustic grand, and I would certainly switch to Yamaha Disklavier or Steinway Spirio if the budget allowed. So in theory it's doable and I hope to make it happen sooner rather than later :)

Another peculiar point is that the VSTs finally got so good that even my concert pianist friends can't tell a difference in sound (we did this experiment a few times with them trying to tell a good digital/acoustic recordings apart, and they couldn't).

So make of it what you will, but for me the main difference remains the mechanics, the feel of it and the vibrations of the true acoustic instrument. And as for the sound - I am quite happy with it.

It is a written transcription by Friedrich Grossnick. You can find the score online :)

You certainly did a nice job interpreting the performance. What was your goal with studying this?
