I've started practicing classical piano more seriously. So I learned Chopin-Godowsky - Study No. 34. It took me about three weeks to get it to a level where I would be confident to perform it in front of other people. What other advanced pieces is this comparable in difficulty to?

Very difficult to answer. It's definitely an advanced technique with a musically complex texture thats difficult to control and play well unles you are skilled. At the same time it lacks really fast, challenging passage work that many virtuoso pieces feature. Why are you asking? Are you looking for more piece in the same style?

This answer helps a lot. I asked because I wanted to use this piece as a gauge, since I have played a lot of piano, but not a ton of pieces past a grade 8 ABRSM standard.
