Good morning! I've made it to the a5 piece of the ABRSM Grade 1 piano pieces. This one took me longer than expected because of the 1/16th notes. I still didn't really get the piece up to speed, but I decided not to play fast than my hands were comfortable with. if the 1/16th notes weren't with my 3-4-5 finger I could have done it, but I'm still trying to get rid of some bad habits in my right hand. Anyway I hope you enjoy!

The introduction of 1/16th notes can indeed be challenging, especially when combined with specific fingerings. It's important to prioritize accuracy and comfort over speed when learning a new piece. By taking your time and playing at a tempo that suits your hands, you're allowing yourself to build a solid foundation and develop good technique.

Don't worry about the speed! I wouldn't be able to tell the difference as I've never heard this piece before and it definitely works at that tempo.
last 3 schubert sonatas and piano trios are something else

Small hint - I would try and make the LH crotchets (which aren't scalic e.g. bars 3 & 4) a little more detached so that the whole song isn't almost entirely legato.
Also, and I might be slightly wrong, but I would have started the mordent in bar 7 on the B... e.g. playing:

B    A    BABA            G    |     G

Thank you for this. I need to keep telling this to myself when I'm unsatisfied with my speed.

Good advice. I'll try to incorporate this into my playing
