Thanks for the compliment and the vote!
I have a feeling that we won't actually get to tough decisions until around match 6 though... Just how the draw turned out, I guess.

I never heard Liszt - Hamelin Cadenza, from Hungarian Rhapsody no. 2 so I voted for Mussorgsky.  Is the Hamelin Cadenza in common repertoire?

It's the last part of Hungarian Rhapsody #2. If you don't know what a piece is, I suggest you google it. :)

Thanks.  I tried to change my vote after hearing the Hamelin cadenza but I was unable.

I am mostly familiar with this great Liszt work from the Tom and Jerry cartoon.  I refer you to the 24th measure of Liszt’s work.  This measure (performed by Tom the cat to comic perfection) wakes up Jerry the mouse and is found at minute marker 1:25 of the following.

Surely you're joking...
The song that plays during that scene is Friska, which is also from HR 2 lmao.
Also, the reason I didn't want people changing their votes is because I want people to be honest personally, and if they see a large majority voted for the song they think is less difficult then they might vote for that one instead, even though voting is anonymous.

Friska is the 2nd part of Hungarian Rhapsody no. 2 while the Hamelin Cadenza is the 3rd part of HR 2.

Only in some recordings - Hamelin wrote this cadenza and I always use another cadenza because I don't have any stamina or technical capability to play any of these super challenging ones.

One idea, since some people may be unfamiliar with the pieces/sections referenced: maybe add a youtube link to each selection to your post for the next rounds? :)
