thought something more understated would stand out next to all the Chopin Ballades, Mephisto Waltzes etc they must hear to death.
Hiii!Recently I have been preparing for undergrad conservatory auditions (am terrified...)I was wondering if i could get some thoughts on using a transcendental etude by liszt as the "substantial" romantic era piece. Some schools that I want to apply to also require an etude, so I am not sure if playing two etudes would be appropriate? Any thought would be appreciated!! 😊
The Spanish rhapsody is very not my taste..
That's too bad... It's an amazing piece. For something other than a sonata that isn't overplayed, I guess I'd recommend Debussy's "Feux D'artifice" Prelude. It's pretty difficult, relatively short (~5 minutes), and probably isn't played that much.
