Some of Liszt's hardest works were his various works on Spanish themes. These include:
S. 252 El Contrabandista

S. 252a La Romanesca (1840)

S. 252b La Romanesca (1852)

S. 253 Spanish Fantasy (I personally believe this is the hardest)

S. 254 Spanish Rhapsody

S. 695c Spanish Songbook (I wasn't sure whether to include this or not because it was written so much later).

Which one is your favorite, and which seems hardest?
Personally, the Rhapsody is my favorite and the Fantasy seems to be the hardest.

The Rhapsody is my favorite, and I'll be surprised if many people disagree.

The only ones worth mentioning for difficulty are El Contrabandista and the Fantasy (which I hadn't heard before this). E.C. is probably more difficult, though the Fantasy is a close second.

Took another look at the sheet music for the Fantasy and found out that it is literally not possible on piano. There are multiple occasions where diminuendos are placed on individual notes/chords. This is physically impossible for a piano to play.

I have copied Siberian Husky's "Bunny" into my signature to aid his quest for world domination. Now you must do the same.
Now why can't I make this Courier New font...
