Needing advice for advanced piano technique
on: July 05, 2024, 09:40:00 PM
Hello everyone, I'd like some advice on piano training. I have failed my grade 7 piano exam twice, I obviously have some serious gaps in my training and I need a lot of effort and good practice to recuperate. I just want advice on how to practice advanced piano technique, how to divide my training session to scales, chords, exercises, études...Knowing that I haven't practiced scales before.
I want your suggestions for 4 things :
Best piano technique books (Czerny, Hanon...)
Advice for approaching scales, chords training
Best etudes suited for Grade 7 ABRSM piano
Best piano pieces suited for Grade 7 ABRSM piano

Sorry to hear this. My advice is to change teacher. Get a good teacher. Ask friends and acquaintances for recommendations.
