Chopin's sonatas!

Which one is your favorite and which one do you think is hardest?
Also, favorite/hardest movement?

I mean, I haven't really played any of Chopin's Sonatas, but I have tried to sightread them, and I must say that the 3rd Sonata gave me the most trouble, especially the finale, which was particularly nasty. My favorite sonata is probably the 2nd, though, since I've been listening to it ever since I was a little kid, and always enjoyed it. Hardest movement of a sonata could either be the finale to the 2nd or 3rd sonata, but I'll probably give it to the 3rd, because there's so many runs you have to do seamlessly and these jumps in the left hand make it even worse. My favorite movement would probably be the 1st movement of the 2nd sonata, because it can be dark and gloomy but also emotional and hopeful. I also like the second theme a lot, so I might be biased towards that... I also recommend that you all check out the 1st sonata, because I know people usually look over it, but it shouldn't be, because it has its beautiful moments and is worth checking out.

My favorite is no 3 which is probably the hardest. But I love all of the sonatas and 1 gets a bad rep but it is really nice.

No. 2 is my favorite but I think No. 3 is more well crafted from a compositional standpoint.

I love the 4th movement of No. 3 and the other movements have many nice ideas in them, it just doesn't grab me as a whole compared to No. 2.
