What's your opinion on the 1837-40 Etudes compared to the 1851-52 Etudes?
Nearly all of the 1851/52 versions are better than their counterparts.

What's your opinion on Liszt's old versions of the Transcendental and Paganini Etudes compared to the new ones?
Are there any etudes in which you greatly prefer one version to the other?
