Most under rated?

Who is on your list of under rated pianists?

Let me start with Harasiewicz and Chopin. Not the most flashy, but the term 'patrician' is sometimes used.

Everything seems to be just right.

I've had his complete Nocturne recordings for ever.

He is seldom mentioned. Even my piano teacher at the time had never heard of him.

Thanks for sharing Harasiewicz! I prefer my Chopin somewhat wilder, but it's certainly tasteful playing!

I really like Annie Fischer - here's the recording I discovered her with. Really organic and flowing playing.

Dina Ugorskaja - resigned and underwhelming Schubert, fits the atmosphere of the sonata well.

Thanks. Two marvellous performances.

Annie Fischer was well known in her day, but I was not familiar with Dina Ugorskaja. i like Dina's articulation of repeated notes, say from 13:00. She is very particular on tone.

I think she does the first section repeat? Yes. Long pauses when she goes back to the theme at 6:40
