Competition repertoires..
on: December 18, 2024, 01:22:09 AM
Hi guys, I’m preparing for a little local competition that will take place in about 3 months, and I need to decide on my pieces.

These are the pieces I can play well:

Chopin:
Etude Op.10 No.1 – 2 mins
4th Ballade – 10 mins
Prelude Op.28 No.15 – 4 mins
Prelude Op.28 No.16 – 1 min

Liszt:
Transcendental Etude No.4 (Mazeppa) – 7 mins
Transcendental Etude No.5 (Feux Follets) – 5 mins
Paganini Etude No.6 – 5 mins

Prokofiev Sonata No.2, 4th Movement – 6 mins

Beethoven Appassionata Sonata, 1st Movement – 10 mins

Bach:
WTC Book 1 No.1 – 5 mins
No.2 – 4 mins
No.3 – 5 mins
No.4 – 7 mins

I am considering the following program:

1st Round (About 10 minutes):
Chopin Etude Op.10 No.1
Liszt Transcendental Etude No.4 (Mazeppa)

2nd Round (About 15 minutes):
Chopin 4th Ballade
Liszt Transcendental Etude No.5 (Feux Follets)

Could you give me some advice about the program?
Thank you so much!
