Ideally, I would be able to keep all the textures in the piece, but in this particular section I can't, unless I want the piece to be devilishly difficult.

In my mind, the most important textures are the shimmering right hand line from piano 1 and the scherzando right hand of piano 2.
However, I also want to incorporate the bass and the melodic left hand line of piano 2.

Are there any ideas to incorporate those elements while still prioritizing the most important textures?
Are there any replacements for any of the elements above, and maybe good replacements for the main textures? Any advice would be appreciated.

Sheet music is attached.

Without having looked to deeply into it, I can't see any way of doing this that doesn't involve having to occasionally roll/break things becasause you need to put stuff that's spreads wider than one octave into one hand.

You probably need to trade the dotted half note melody and scherzando stuff between the hands.

Welcome to the world of arranging... taking as many notes as you can and cramming it into what is capable by the human player with only 10 fingers.

There's always a compromise, so you have to accept that there are things you will have to sacrifice in order to get it played.

This one is especially difficult as you're taking a piece of music written specifically for 4 hands, and trying to make 2 hand version of it. If Rachmaninoff himself thought that it might be playable by 2 hands, I'm sure he would have tried to make an arrangement of it.

But are there also ideas you guys have where I could substitute some of the textures with others that would make it possible to have all of the elements? Like maybe breaking up and simplfiying the piano 1's right hand. Or substituting the piano 2's right hand with something that has a similar character, but is easier and makes it possible to include the bass and dotted half note melody.
