How long would it take to learn Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 2?

As a graduate piano student who recently entered a master's program, I am deeply fascinated by the cadenza in Prokofiev's Second Piano Concerto and have grown to adore the entire work. My previous repertoire includes Liszt's "Réminiscences de Norma," the Sonata in B Minor, and Agosti's arrangement of Stravinsky's "The Firebird." I typically learned these pieces within six months, practicing up to three hours daily. However, my performances remained somewhat rough – for instance, rapid octave passages often contained inaccuracies. While I prioritized structural coherence and overall musical effect, finer details were lacking.

If I practice an average of four hours daily, how long might it take to prepare Prokofiev's Second Concerto to a performance-ready standard? I would appreciate insights from those familiar with this repertoire, especially regarding technical challenges and effective practice strategies.

I have a friend who learned all of prokofievs second concerto within less than two months, he performed the whole thing in a studio class and it was techinically perfect. He recently played it in the school concerto competition and it was one of the best performances ive ever seen of the piece. He told me he practiced about 4 to 6 hours a day over the holiday to learn it. But his teacher told him he learned the concerto in 16 days by practicing 12 hours a day.
