Bach Prelude 11 Trills

Can someone help me understand how to play this trill please

Am I right in thinking that you trill between 5 and 3 and end on 2?
Also according to the performance notes are you supposed to do a turn at the beginning so the whole sequence would be

D C# B C# D C# D C# D C# D C# ......

I think you are right. I'd finger it 531232323212 3, D C# B C# D C# D C# D C# B C# D, where you can decide on the number of reps for the main trill, and also whether you want to add the nachschlag that I added. The final D is the first note of the next measure.

Yes, those are "turn-trills" rather than just normal trills. One is a normal turn and an other is inverted. That is what the symbol attached to the head of the trill signifies. Think of it was a partial turn symbol connected to a trill.

Finger it the way that works best for you.
