You (pianoexplorer) have posted lots of videos of various young pianists in various venues, but all in Italy it seems.  Are you a piano teacher and these are your students?  Some of them are playing in the same music room - your studio?

Nice music room - all those LP's!
Is that piano tough to handle?  Sounds bright, a little brittle?
Is that a linoleum floor?  That's a hard surface - lots of bounce.  You might want to put a rug under the piano to reduce the brightness.  But you're probably used to it.

As far as this student's performance goes:
The main melody is stated twice in the opening bars.  He plays the second one in the exact same way (phrasing, dynamics, tone) as the first one ... Did Chopin intend the phrase be played the same the second time?  Surely not!  The interpreter would make it sound new.

È vero, non mi prendo più molta cura dello strumento. È un Kawai KG2 del 1980, e devo dire che è uno strumento piuttosto impegnativo da suonare. La verità è che, dal 1980, ho sempre evitato di far manipolare la meccanica o di fare molte accordature.
In tutta la sua vita, nonostante i repertori impegnativi che lo strumento ha suonato, credo sia stato accordato al massimo quattro volte.
Lo scorso anno però, ho trovato un tecnico di cui mi sono fidato, consigliato dal  mio amico pianista Enrico Fagnoni, ed è  l'unico a cui ho permesso di registrare la meccanica (avvenuta dopo la registrazione di questo Chopin che era ancora in fase di lettura).
Per il lavoro che lo strumento sta facendo, con repertori importanti, si comporta molto bene. Tuttavia, credo che non lo farò più toccare, se non per una semplice ripassata di accordatura.
Si, la collezione di LP è abbastanza particolare, tutti pianisti della vecchia generazione, che ora un poco alla volta regalo in maniera indolore ai miei cari allievi che in realtà considero più miei cari amici.
