stefan wolpe?
on: March 09, 2005, 06:41:45 PM
i had never heard of him before today. just listed to 'funf' song cycle. what does funf mean anyway? they sound semi-beautiful, but very difficult to sing and play. but, interesting, nonetheless. i can hear where he's going and wish i knew german better. what does it all mean? he studied with webern, yet has his own distinct style - what is it that makes him different than webern? is there more warmth?

do you know why benches fall apart? it is because they have lids with little tiny hinges so you can store music inside them. hint: buy a bench that does not hinge. buy it for sturdiness.
