Theory worksheets
on: March 11, 2005, 01:53:19 PM
My brother has recently taken an interest in piano, and I've agreed to teach him, though he tends to prefer a more relaxed teaching style, which is fine by me. He has made significant progress, but is still just a beginner. His biggest concern is that he has trouble recognizing notes. I offered to try and find him a simple worksheet with notes on them (you know- you see a note, write the letter name type of thing).

So- does anyone know where I might find something along these lines, or have any other suggestions for my plight?

Try this site. Go to note trainner. There is a setting to adjust the level.

Could be good.

my theory teacher gave us Bach's P&F #2 from book 1. it is extremely notey and looks scary to put the notes down, but it isn't hard really. I think you should try the same thing. Just find a piece that is around his level and have him write the notes out.
