wheee!! Im off to the concert tonight! It was supposed to be Arnaldo Cohen performing, but he took ill so Stewart Goodyear came instead in short notice. Has anyone ever heard him play before? My teacher tells me he is very good and recommended I go to this concert.

Yeah, the concert was pretty good - Goodyear has some impressive technique. I loved how he did the 2nd movement. Each note he played was so pure, it was as if they were all pearls. His cadenzas were brilliant also. However, I felt the whole performance was a little bland and too classical-sounding for Chopin. However, the projection of the melody was superb and it was still memorable. Koji, if you know him from Julliard or something, tell him he has a big fan up here in Canada.
