If your female you won't win! maybe second place.  Thanks to the founder (who IS female btw!).  There's plenty of others though.

Are you entering Piano Welsh?

Why shouldnt a female win the jury is mixed (Waterman only has the casting vote), actually most of the pool is female. It is a pretty big competition guys and the prize money is pretty good and lots of fab concerts - it is at least as big as the Tchaikovsky competition.  Unfortunately i wont be entering it this year I am a mere undergraduate final student but all you vastly experienced people have no excuse and I can come and here you play if you get past qualifyers - not being sarcy - id like to hear you guys and im sure some of you have credentials to make it - shame about stupid age cut off though - Still i have two more competitions before im too old - may send off an audition tape next time - even if just for experience - experience is a Great teacher! ;D

I went and saw the finals in 2003, absolutely fantastic to watch.  I'm past my shelf life now so couldn't enter even if I thought I was good enough, good luck to any of you who enter, am hopefully going again next year, keep us posted  :)
