on: March 22, 2005, 08:52:17 PM
I have learned the 90% of this piece, but im having problems with bar num 4.

Need your advice please?

Thanks
The masterpiece tell the performer what to do, and not the performer telling the piece what it should be like, or the cocomposer what he ought to have composed.

It's only a chromatic scale with some notes apart? And it's aproximatively 2 notes in RH for 1 in LH, with some rare exceptions. Explain what you have trouble with, i don't see any problem there...

22 notes vs 12 notes.

Hi Presto,

I had the same problem as yours. What I did to overcome the problem is to avoid thinking about the 2 notes to 1 note but aim at hitting the last note of the chromatic running to coincide with the correct LH note. You may not get it right for the first few times. Just adjust the speed of the chromatic running and ensure that the LH broken chord is consistent. Once you have found the right speed, practice a few more time will solve the problem.

Listening to some recordings will be very helpful as well.

Is it really that important? Concentrate on the left hand and let the notes fall. :)
