where can i find new students?
on: March 23, 2005, 10:05:36 PM
hello everyone!
i teach at a little conservatory at the moment and i'm starting to look for new students to teach privately at home or at the student's home (for some extra cash)
do any of you know where i can find students?
i would really like to teach privately on the side because the hours are so flexible.
have a wonderful day!

Make sure new students can find you ( a card left in music shops - personal contact with people who work there) a web page is helpful. If you do local recitals so people in are know who you are - if you have a good music library - let people know you are teaching - NETWOKING is key to getting student bass - but keep it tasteful
Good luck

and maybe also advertising on the local papers? if you mention that you're teaching at so-and-so conservatorie that might arouse some interest.
