We need...
on: March 27, 2005, 01:17:48 AM
We need something that organizes all the thread information. Something that doesn't require any effort on the part of the viewer....
... Maybe if there was a way the site would pick the most used word... like the Google ads are already doing... and then find related threads automatically... That could be very helpful and effortless to the viewer. So, I sit on a page about "thirds." The page gives me recommendations of other threads on the site that are related. Imagine that... kind of like the way online shopping places do. Sounds possible.
I think it's going a bit beyond what forums might normally do though. I wonder how much good information is somewhere down in the depths of the pf site and will never see the light of day again, if there's a way to get at that...
Of course, part of the "fun" of a foum is that you can post your own stuff and someone responds.
I just see the same questions coming up, sometimes I'm posting the same questions myself. I know there are old threads, but I'm too lazy to do a search and find them. I just wish they were all collected and listed together. The indexes people have made never made it off the ground. Too much work. There's got to be a way though...
