Well that was mean, she tried so freaking hard to get me to like her at first, and when I wanted to start a relationship, she was like, 'nah, not interested'.  It's like she freaking slapped me in the face!   That's like really freaking mean.  What a dick move. >:(  :'(

Once you get into a school, what's the lowest you can get on your report card without getting rejected in the middle of July?

What the freaking heck?!  I can't freaking stop thinking about what she did to me!  What a low blow...

Oooohhhh you dont know the things i did when I was supposed to be a young lady....but not as bad as the girls that were popular...you know why they were popular, now. Anyways. It just depends on the school, and you should check. You know, Ive dropped a class or 2 in the day for sake of avoiding an f on the report card. So, find out when the last day to drop and withdraw is, and ask if they give incompletes, too.

But the girl....dont sweat. Itll be ok, plenty of love out there *cough...yamaha...cough*  haha

But yeah, youll meet tons of girls, just avoid bars and obscene parties, dont look for relationships there!

You know, just like some guys, many girls just like a challenge. They want to see if they can have you and once they can they loose interest. Or she simply changed her mind a bit which is totally ok. Or she was flattered by your interest but not really serious to begin with. Life gets easier when one stops wondering about other people's motives  ;)

I got the impression at that age that SOME of the girls instinctively flirted like mad with absolutely no concept of what they were doing or the implications, then when they realized the impact they'd had they freaked out and ran in the opposite direction.

I like living though! I bought a book of scriabin sonatas just to remind myself to practice reading so I can someday learn his sonaten without getting a nosebleed...and I gotta get way better at music and piano before any of reviving Chopin so I can seduce him with my legit piano skills. And I would probably have to be like 25 yr old or somethin' and revive him when he is 27ish and then we shall wed and I will have his children and spread the Chopin gene. HAHAHAHAH that is so different than ending the world fantasy, and maybe even more psychotic....;) I don't hold back...lol

You're probably nearly there, he taught a fair number of daughters with rich fathers I believe, that were perhaps not really so piano happy as much as socially elite and could buy his time. He was a freaking expensive teacher..  given he charged about the same amount I do.. just 200 years earlier.

HEY! flirting should be fun and harmless, and one can do it free from long-term implications, that's why it's flirting. Next discuss long term desires, or go separate ways. LOL
P.S flirting can be non-verbal as well, which is really fun to do, from a girl's position in sensuality.

AWEEE! That was nice of you.

Thank you.

I'm broke though, if Chopin were to ask. I just bought another piano today. It shall be object of desire. Feelings of passion fill my every thought. HAHA!!

Well I guess if you manage to garner any attention from him he genuinely likes you..

his lessons were 20 francs..   the average wage at the time was about 1 franc per day. You had to be a rothschild to afford him.

Ah, but you don't have the same expenses.

Gloves and carriages was his excuse:

Quote from: Chopin
Kalkbrenner charged twenty-five francs. Today I am to give five lessons. You probably think I am making a fortune, but you are wrong. The cab [carriage] and white gloves cost more than I earn but without them I would not be in good form.

If he did teaching at a pupils home, he insisted that they send their carriage for him. You may have trouble there.

To be honest, I think that if you were to revive chopin and hold him captive he'd be more impressed if you claimed to have been the sole creator of every (decent) musical style post his death..   and if you could play all godowsky studies, that should be suffice as impressive too..

..you wrote an etude huh? yeh, I can play the same thing with one hand.

It is still money! If you have 30 of those old francs they could be changed into Euros. At the current rate of exchange you wouldn't get much. But to a collector you might get more than the current rate.

I totally feel you with the Rach 3!  That's why it's my favorite piano concerto.

But the freaking rach 1 sonata omg...  I just had a moment today, and I was like freaking out!!!  I was learning the last two minutes of the third movement, and my body was like 'nah bro, after a certain amount of time, enough is enough', I was like completely overwhelmed, really felt it in my torso, I thought I was gonna die lol.  But it felt soooo good!

if you write a certain swear word PS filters it and changes it to pregnant dog.

There's a part in the 3rd mov where the orchestra goes solo for a bit and I'm pretty sure I'd need a restraint prevent me jumping and running around the stage at a performance.

Bronfman's "big fat chord" section is pretty okay. LOTS of sound projection.

I like V's opening of the first mov better though.

By that stage, I'd have thought sheer exhaustion (emotional if nothing else) would have kept you to a feeble canter.
