Inspite of health issues and problems, I feel that my practicing piano and violin has been better than average and that makes me feel so good inside.   ;D

I am sweating the deadline of having the Ballade #1, Mozart's 576, and the Appassionata all memorized and down pat in time to do a piano festival in Italy in June.  OK, so I am not one of the recitalists, but I still have to play them for other pianists, so I don't want to look like  twit.  I am twitching because I just got asked to do a Piano and 9 other instruments thing in a month.  I am trying to figure out how I can do it all.  egad!
Where in Italy?

I miss one of my dreams. Guess I just let it go. Bye bye dream, have a good time! Probably you have grown up now and don't need your daddy anymore. But promise me something okay? Don't go to these other dreams that have gone to the lake of pain, okay? Good luck!

Sure. Mind is magic, music is magic, thinking is magic. We often don't see the magic because we think it's something like supernatural. Goethe writes about "the public secret"

To Bob and db,

May I ask, what is it about me that makes you think of m1469?  I mean to say, what is going on here anyhow?    ???  I don't appreciate being *another m1469* for that matter.    >:(
thank you kindly!   You two can GO jump in that lake in that other post on backpacking......

m1469 was fun. Intelligent, too. Cheerful student of music and life. It would be an honor to be compared to her.

I'm wondering what makes Karli's teacher magical.  I think all my teachers haven't been quite in sync with me.  A few jerks.  None of them could answers my questions though.  I think we were thinking in different directions.

hmmmm ... well, I think my teacher himself is a magical person, but the experience of working with him seems to be, too.  I mean, the experience is magical as well as my teacher being magical ... and maybe I am a little magical, too  ;D ... hee hee (*waves wand around*).  I think that with any interaction, obviously individuality and general mindset comes into play.  I won't pretend to be capable of explaining how it all works, of course, I am just very happy when/if it does; it's making a very big difference in my life.  There are many specifics that definitely help the experience to be what it is, that is for sure.

What made the jerks jerks ?  hmmm ?

Acting superior and condescending.  Being demanding but not answering questions or explaining things enough.  And making me feel bad for not being prepared enough.  I'm glad I'm not stuck in a situation like that now.

My bandmates are here, and I'm not in the mood to play right now.
I'm thinking of going to college and can't quite decide among:
1. music (top choice but slim chance)
2. liberal arts
3. philosophy
4. psychology/ sociology
5. education (childhood dream)

If I go for music, I'd have to do a whole lot better than what i'm doing now.
If I don't go for music, I'd practically have to quit music to adjust to academic life.
What should I do?

Making plans for a great week of lessons with my wonderful group of adult students.  It is always a joy to see them progress, get to the next level, and share in their excitement at reaching a new goal.  We have our student recital coming up in two weeks so everyone is diligently practicing and preparing their program notes and bios.  My favorite time of year!

also thinking I hope I sleep ok tonight, haven't sleept properly for 2 days :(.

I can't get over the fact that my fourth grade boyfriend found me yesterday, after all these years !!  We both moved away from that town at the same time, to separate places.  We wrote to each other a little but lost touch and now, bam !!  We're back in touch !  It's like we will always know each other as these little kids that we were ... hee hee, and somehow, it's as though we actually kind of know each other now ... how does that work, exactly ?  I mean, it's been YEARS !!!  How is it possible that we actually know each other ?  We were TINY !  And, it's like that was all frozen in time, and now it's not.  It's just so strange ... hee hee.  And, as it turns out, he grew up to be a professional musician and music teacher as well.  What the ?  We didn't know that about each other back then !

It all leads me to one conclusion.  The fact that he still remembers me must mean that I was a good kisser, even back then  ;D.  hee hee ... it's a joke.  I don't think I was a kisser at all back then :).
