Earlier, I was eating my dessert for the evening, a piece of apple pie from a store bought pie. I began to think about the fact that, as good intentions as the peoples of the stores and bakeries might have, they will always make an inferior product to a homemade pie. It's not as fresh, they're mass produced, and the ingredients are cheaper.
This lead me to ponder human inefficacy as a whole, how we tend to fail even if our heart is in the right place, due to simple uncontrollable circumstance. The thought saddened and scared me, that the world was ruled by the endless gaping maw of inevitable human failure, a constant reminder ever lingering about how truly inadequate we are in this world.
All I did was eat a pie, and I was sent through the roaring winds of a philosophical storm. Incredible, simply incredible. Unfortunately, such could not be said about the pie: it was a bit ghastly.
