Hey guys I’m a part of a Carnatic (South Indian) trio and this is a show we did two days ago

The set starts at 1:36:20 but I have kind of a nice solo at 2:10:55

The set is like 90% improvised

I like this very much, thanks for posting it. I love spontaneous playing, anything which reaches out and gives me new ideas for my own improvisation. I finished with the immortals, patterns and structure years ago. Beautiful rugs on the floor ! I shall make another trip through the whole thing later today

Every day I’ll pick a drone and a raga or collection of notes and only improvise using that framework.  For the whole day.

Idk the science behind it but it also transfers to other types of improvisation
