The Quiet Revolutionary of the Piano – Fauré’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

In the pantheon of French music, Gabriel Fauré (1845–1924) often seems a paradox—an innovator cloaked in restraint, a Romantic by birth who shaped the contours of modern French music with quiet insistence. Piano Street now provides sheet music for his complete piano works: a body of music that resists spectacle, even as it brims with invention and brilliance. Read more

Thanks for posting this.  Someone has asked me to play a movement, either the 1st or 2nd for a church service, which do you think is easier?

The 2nd is definitely easier, but the 1st is also not that hard (compared to the third) :)

That sounds like a lovely way to spend time with a friend! Poulenc’s sonatas have such a unique charm—beautifully expressive and full of character. I can only imagine how magical it must be to experience that music live. Hope you both enjoy every note of it!

You two are amazing! How long do you think a student in advanced level can play this song smoothly?

Many thanks! It took us something like 3 weeks of practice to get it to this level :) In general it is not that complicated, especially for the piano :))

If the grammar and wording are too good....it is too good.

Although

How long do you think a student in advanced level can play this song smoothly?

doesn't make any sense.

You DO realise that the poster just used a quote to insert a hidden hyperlink? Check right under the word 'Some' and you'll see some unusual dots.

Guy is nothing but a spammy bastard. I think that's one of the ones I reported, but honestly - I can't keep up at this stage now.
