Are they mostly classical music, or do they have somethings about Jazz and other types?

I don't actually have these two magazines, but I've heard they are really nice. I think they only have classical music. But Pianist has sheet music inside (and I think Klavier does, I'm not sure) which I find helpful.

Yep. I subscribe to Clavier...it's great. Contains some sheet music, but mostly exposes on practices techniques, concert pianists, etc.
I think you can find the subscription on Amazon.

I think Pianist has 6 issues a year, while Clavier has 10.

I get Pianist mag and i think they have too much sheet music. Half the book is sheet music! From beginner to advanced. Why do i want the Heroic Polonaise when i've already got it in 3 or 4 books?
But there is one good thing about it. They have got chamber music and movement from a concerto. And it comes with a CD so you can play your part with an orchestra or soprano.

Another magazine is "Piano" (former "Piano Quarterly"), from the UK, I believe, but available in the US and elsewhere (every 2 months, $10).
It concentrates a lot on performers interviews, biography and interpretation, with some articles on specific pieces, recordings, piano brands...

Clavier is an excellent magazine, but is more oriented toward piano teachers than students. It's still worth subscribing to though, as there are insights there for everyone. The fact that it's not published every month gives you something to look forward to.
Piano Quarterly was probably the best publication ever, but was sold after the death of one of its owners, and was redubbed Piano & Keyboard. The latter, although very good, (in fact the former editor of Piano Quarterly rejoined the publishing staff to improve it), was never quite the same quality as the predecessor Piano Quarterly. Sadly, to the best of my knowledge, Piano & Keyboard stopped publishing in 2001. The holding company then pushed a magazine called Keyboard, which featured electronic instruments and equipment only. Those of us who were interested in accoustic piano and serious music dropped it instantly at the change.
There is a fine magazine called Piano, International Piano Quarterly. This is published in the UK, unlike the American offerings mentioned above. It covers all aspects of piano really well--artists, concerts, competitions, pedagogy, composers, discography, repertoire, reviews, you name it. It's a very high quality journal.

International Piano Quarterly is now named International Piano (it comes every two months), and it is pretty good. I buy it regularly (hard to find in the US, I usually get it at Borders, if the few they have are not sold ; I should think of getting a subscription...).
It's a lot oriented toward pianist and their concepts of music. Which magazine would be more oriented toward piano practice, technique and repertoire ?

Clavier is my favorite! I like their choice of topics and informative interviews.
