Is there anyway to make my piano keys stiffer?
on: May 11, 2003, 07:16:11 PM
The keys on my piano are very light, and whenever i play on a grand pano, it is hard to get used to the stiff keys. I was wondering if there is a way to make the keys stiffer so that i will get used to stiff keys?

Yes & No.  WIthout actually trying your piano to determine how light is light and what the other pianos are like.

You have an upright? you can open it. if you lift out a keystick is it loose when you do that is the bushing worn, by the balance pin, are the hammers looooooose - do they wobble side to side?? etc.
