HOLST - The planets, for two pianos
on: May 01, 2005, 10:41:02 AM
Has anyone heard or played Holsts "The planets" arrangement for two pianos? He wrote it before he did the orcestration... I was thinking about buying it, although its quite expensive. One or two of the pieces could be great to play together with a friend. But would it be as interresting to listen to as the orchestra version? Has anyone here heard the two-piano version?

how cool!  i've never heard the two piano version, and can't even imagine it yet...but guess that it would be on a 'fantastic' level.
do you know why benches fall apart?  it is because they have lids with little tiny hinges so you can store music inside them.  hint:  buy a bench that does not hinge.  buy it for sturdiness.

I have also the score in PDF. I love the 2 piano version of The Planets. Venus is very beautiful and not difficult to play. Mars is also fun.
