Rach Preludes
on: May 04, 2005, 06:25:35 PM
I have recently learned Bartok's Allegro Barbaro and Chopin's nocturne op.9 no.1, i was wondering if you think any of the Rach preludes (or any rach peice for that matter) would be in my grasp i have listened to some and love them, i thought perhaps op.3 no.2 but i'm not sure how hard they really are. I would love to able to play them but if there's another peice that would maybe be a good warm up for it then any suggestions would be welcomed.

Personally I wouldn't go for Op 3/2 yet. I'd recommend 23/4, 23/6 or 32/5 as a more "gentle" introduction to Rachmaninov's preludes.
