Amnesic pianist in UK...
on: May 18, 2005, 04:27:12 AM
Hi everyone,
Did you hear about that guy found wandering under a pouring rain and holding sheets of piano music on a beach in UK ?
It is not a joke ! Since then (two or three weeks ago), the guy has not said one word... He does not seem to understand english. He has been given a pen and he drawed a perfect concert piano... so he has been led to a piano and played a four hour repertoire.
Orchestras, music schools, etc... have been contacted to try identify him (in western europe as well as in eastern countries) but until now, no success !
He is very quiet and his face only starts to get animated when he sits at the piano...
I think this is a strange and wonderful story... and I wanted to share it with you guys !
And, who knows, maybe someone among you know him ?
All the best,
Drooxy

The part that cracks me up most is that he doesn't remember who he is apparently, but remembers a bunch of music! I can't remember that much music even on a good day!

Er, what's your source? The version I heard was that he plays the same two or three short pieces over and over - hardly a 'four hour repertoire'. The doctors referred to him as an amateur...
